What is Pilates?
Pilates is an exercise discipline that focuses on lengthening, strengthening and improving flexibility of the "core" muscles responsible for the support and alignment of the spine. By emphasizing proper breathing, correct spinal and pelvic alignment, and concentration on smooth, flowing movement, you become aware of how your body feels and how to control its movements. Exercises can be performed on a mat or on specially designed equipment developed by Joseph Pilates.

KETTLEBELL - A 45 minute class using the Russian Kettlebell. Cardio, strength training and ab training all in one class. An intense way to gain strength, power & endurance. Instructor approval needed for first time clients.
CARDIO CORE CIRCUIT - Circuit style class designed for all levels utilizing a combination of the TRX, Battling Ropes, Kettlebells, Bodyweight moves & of course the CORE aka Abs, Powerhouse, back, hips. Feel the strength, feel the burn, feel the power !!!
TRX Blend - A suspension training workout using the TRX and your own body weight to maximize strength, balance, flexibility and core stability. Try it...you will be hooked!
TAICHI - Tai Chi is often referred to as a "moving meditation". The aim of the sequence of movements is to build up the body's internal strength, suppleness and stamina. Relax, be still and enjoy the harmony. Drop-Ins are Welcome.
EMPOWERED - 1st 20 minutes is Pilates Mat, 2nd 20 minutes is Strength Training and the last 20 minutes is time spent on myofacial release using Foam rollers or trigger point balls. A great combination to "Empower" you !!!
Pilates Mat - Pilates matwork in a small group setting offers the opportunity to learn the fundamentals of Pilates. All exercises can be modified to prevent injury and strain or challenged for the experienced client, while you safely increase your strength, flexibility & stamina. Fun & rewarding! The use of magic circles, therabands & balls may be incorporated into the session.
Private Reformer Session - working one-on-one with an instructor to help achieve your personal fitness goals. We are able to focus on your own strengths and weaknesses to attain the best overall training. The Pilates Reformer and other props will be used to challenge and assist your workout.
Reformer Duets - Share a personal session with a friend or partner. Sessions will take you through the repertoire of exercises at a pace thats right for both of you.
Customized Private Training - A customized private session can be designed for you and/or with friends. We can incorporate pilates, strength training, kettlebell or a combination. Call for details.

If you are new to Pilates, you may want to schedule a private session. But feel free to just drop-in to one of the Group Pilates Mat classes and work at your own level. It is a great way to increase strength & flexibilty to your every day life and other workouts. Call studio for any questions or concerns.
